La Confederación Española de Empresas de Tecnologías de la Información, Comunicaciones y Electrónica, CONETIC, se crea el 16 de Noviembre del año 2005 como entidad sin ánimo de lucro y de ámbito estatal.
Los principales fines de CONETIC se resumen en la representación y defensa de los intereses de sus Asociados, favorecer la mejora competitiva de las empresas y trabajar activamente en el desarrollo de la sociedad de la información y del conocimiento a través de la difusión de la tecnología para su mejor asimilación e implantación en el resto de sectores de la economía.
CONETIC representa a 15 Asociaciones territoriales TIC, con más de 1.300 empresas que dan empleo directo a más de 52.000 profesionales con un volumen de negocio superior a los 6.300 millones de euros.
