    Since 2006, ISEFRE has aimed to promote the economic and societal development of doctors, doctoral students and researchers, called to be leaders in the knowledge economy. In this sense, the Institute:

    - has a Think Tank activity dedicated to excellence in the valorization of research, technology transfer and knowledge in socio-economic environments via entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship.

    - delivers each year a DFE Cycle, called "Discovery of Entrepreneurial France", an innovative training module constituting a strong awareness of the valorization of research and the transmission of the entrepreneurial spirit, carried out with the Entrepreneurship Chair of ESCP Europe. These Cycles play an essential role in the personal and professional maturation of the participants who follow them.

    ISEFRE administers the “DFE Alumni Club”, a network of more than 250 former participants, all passionate about innovation and who have often undertaken businesses in France or abroad.

    ISEFRE was founded by Denis Lafeuille, engineer from ESPCI ParisTech and doctor from the University of Grenoble. Initially a researcher, he was a founding member of the CIFRE conventions and then the first head of the CIFRE department at the ANRT.
