đ± The NÄhiti project (New Approaches for Innovation and Technology in the islands of French Polynesia) is the winner of the call for projects of the Overseas Innovation Plan (PIOM) included in the France 2030 Plan.
NÄhiti is a collegial project carried out by innovation actors in the territory resulting from research (UPF, Ifremer, IRD, CNRS, ILM, University of California-Berkeley), companies (La French Tech PolynĂ©sie, Maritime Cluster of French Polynesia and CCISM) and institutions (Government of French Polynesia), with the University of French Polynesia as lead partner.
Lasting 3 years (2023-2026), the general objective of the NÄhiti project is to structure the innovation ecosystem in the Polynesian territory, through two main components:
đĄ Entrepreneurship awareness and training
đĄ Support for the emergence and development of innovative projects and start-ups.
Through this approach of training, awareness and support for entrepreneurship, NÄhiti has a measurable impact on the development of the Polynesian territory: by supporting the realization of innovative projects, but also by acting in depth on the very conditions of their emergence via the creation and strengthening of interaction loops within an ecosystem which, like the Polynesian territory, is today both very rich and very fragmented.
In this sense, the means implemented exert a leverage effect, allowing a move to scale and the establishment of an ecosystem facilitating and above all encouraging the emergence of innovative projects in the long term.Original language

Au travers de cette dĂ©marche de formation, sensibilisation et accompagnement Ă lâentrepreneuriat, NÄhiti exerce un impact mesurable sur le dĂ©veloppement du territoire polynĂ©sien : en soutenant la rĂ©alisation de projets innovants, mais aussi en agissant en profondeur sur les conditions mĂȘme de leur Ă©mergence via la crĂ©ation et le renforcement des boucles dâinteraction au sein dâun Ă©cosystĂšme qui, Ă lâimage du territoire polynĂ©sien, est aujourdâhui Ă la fois trĂšs riche et trĂšs fragmentĂ©.
Les moyens mis en Ćuvre exercent en ce sens un effet levier, permettant un passage Ă lâĂ©chelle et la mise en place dâun Ă©cosystĂšme facilitant et surtout incitant lâĂ©mergence de projets innovants sur le long terme.
