Founded in 1993, Groupe URD is an independent think-tank specializing in the analysis of practices and the development of policies for humanitarian action and the management of fragilities.

Fondé en 1993, le Groupe URD est un think-tank indépendant spécialisé dans l’analyse des pratiques et le développement de politiques pour l’action humanitaire et la gestion des fragilités.
Son rôle est d’accompagner les acteurs de l’aide pour améliorer la qualité de leurs interventions : ONG opérationnelles, agences des Nations unies, organismes du Mouvement Croix-Rouge, États et institutions, bailleurs de fonds, chercheurs, think tanks ou étudiants.
L’accompagnement proposé peut conjuguer plusieurs activités : une évaluation et de la formation, de la recherche et du développement d’outils, etc. Certains projets induisent un suivi dans la durée et des services « sur mesure », adaptés aux demandes volatiles des acteurs et à l’évolution de leurs besoins. Ils combinent parfois plusieurs thématiques, un ou plusieurs pays, et permettent de croiser les approches des parties prenantes. C’est là ce que l’on nomme la fonction de « Partenaire d’apprentissage » du Groupe URD.
