Observation, analyse et prospective apparaissent désormais indispensables pour fonder l’action régionale.
L’objectif est d’accroître la capacité de l’institution régionale à exercer ses compétences et permettre son évaluation, mais aussi d’alimenter la réflexion des acteurs du territoire souvent démunis en ressources stratégiques internes.
La stratégie Régionale pour la Connaissance du territoire, votée en octobre 2017, doit permettre à la Région de faire de l’ingénierie de la connaissance territoriale un catalyseur de dynamiques et de projets locaux, dans une ambition régionale d’aménagement et d’égalité des territoires.
La Région développe des partenariats d’études avec l’INSEE, les agences d’urbanisme et les établissements d’enseignement supérieur pour constituer un programme d’études annuel.
Celui-ci a pour objectif la production d’analyses dans les champs de l’aménagement et de l’économie au service du développement des territoires.
