Lors de sa création, elle est placée sous la présidence de Francine Demichel et sous la direction de Vannina Bernard-Leoni. Depuis avril 2016, Graziella Luisi en assure la direction.
C’est en 2011 qu’elle a pu rassembler ses premiers fondateurs et forte d’un capital, entrer dans sa phase opérationnelle.
Au cours de ces dernières années, elle a permis d’ impulser et de développer des projets dans trois domaines prioritaires :
- Innovation et esprit d’entreprise ;
- Attractivité internationale et promotion de l’identité universitaire ;
- Transfert des savoirs et compétences de l’université vers le territoire insulaire.
