APE is a non-profit organization active in promoting the intelligent use of energy in Friuli Venezia Giulia

The Energy Agency of Friuli Venezia Giulia Energy is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 on the initiative of the Province of Udine. It is part of the "Intelligent Energy for Europe"​ network, supported by the European Commission. Today, among its members, there are numerous bodies of the FVG region.
APE is an independent agency that supports its activities exclusively thanks to the trust granted over time by its interlocutors, private citizens, public bodies and companies and its partners: a guarantee of objectivity and freedom of judgment that translates into authority and seriousness.
Through its activities, APE promotes sustainable development by helping individuals, companies and local communities in Friuli Venezia Giulia to achieve significant and measurable improvements in the rational use of energy and its renewable sources.
APE adresses all citizens with events and information campaigns that it organizes to develop consumer awareness; it realizes thematic publications; it develops partnerships at local and European level; it offers consulting activities, energy audits and technical-economic evaluation of investments in the field of renewable sources.
Furthermore, in the region, it is the Agency that certifies the energy performance of buildings according to the CasaClima quality protocol and it organizes courses and seminars aimed at transferring specific knowledge in the fields of efficient energy management and energy saving in buildings
