Working towards a circular economy - one chopstick at a time

ChopValue is the world's first circular economy franchise. From our city, we collect used disposable chopsticks that were shipped thousands of kilometers, only to be used for 20-30 minutes. We call this our URBAN HARVEST.
Through a lean manufacturing process, we upcycle this waste to form a new engineered material: stronger than oak, harder than maple. Serving a variety of industries, this material is locally handcrafted to create a 9cm coaster, to a 5m Conference Table, to a 15m feature wall. Returning to the economy to serve the community, all the while storing carbon, that would have been otherwise released and contributing to climate change.
By giving this single used waste a 2nd life, we demonstrate how waste can be transformed into a resource.
