Portée par 14 membres fondateurs, la Fondation I-SITE Université Lille Nord-Europe (ULNE) vise à accompagner la transformation du paysage de la recherche et de la formation en région Hauts-de-France, avec à terme la création de l'Université Lille Nord-Europe. Labellisé en février 2017 dans le cadre de la 2e vague du Programme Investissements d’Avenir, le projet est structuré autour de trois thématiques interconnectées couvrant un spectre disciplinaire large : Santé, Planète et Monde numérique. L’internationalisation et la valorisation sont également au cœur de ses priorités.
