Rnest is a software offering a new web search experience for professionals. After the keyword approach (Yahoo 1994) and the popularity search (Google 1998), La mètis offers with Rnest a personalized web search tool to face the information chaos.
Rnest automates the tasks of a user searching for information on the web: visiting preferred sites, selecting and reading articles, extracting knowledge, and finally creating a synthesis.
While a human can read a few dozen articles from a dozen known websites, Rnest reads 250,000 articles from thousands of starting sources.
Rnest extracts and makes available an average of 2,500 relevant results, from which it selects 50 must-see items, which are the priority. It also suggests new concepts, places, organizations, people and sources of information related to the field in question to enable a more in-depth search in an iterative approach.
Rnest thus makes it possible to explore entire areas of the web that the user does not know about because of a lack of time. For each web search, Rnest performs the amount of work of 10 employees during a year.
To do this, Rnest implements an "explainable" and traceable artificial intelligence, generating confidence in the origin and processing of web data.Original language

Rnest est un logiciel proposant une nouvelle expérience de recherche web pour les professionnels. Après l’approche par mots-clés (Yahoo 1994) et la recherche par popularité (Google 1998), La mètis propose avec Rnest un outil de recherche web personnalisé pour faire face au chaos informationnel.
Rnest automatise les gestes d’un utilisateur qui cherche de l’information sur le web : visite de sites de prédilection, sélection et lecture d’articles, extraction de connaissance, enfin élaboration d’une synthèse.
Alors qu’un humain est en mesure de lire quelques dizaines d’articles à partir d’une douzaine de sites web connus, Rnest en lit 250 000 à partir de milliers de sources de départ.
Rnest extrait et met à disposition en moyenne 2 500 résultats pertinents parmi lesquels il en sélectionne 50 incontournables, à parcourir en priorité. Il propose également de nouveaux concepts, lieux, organisations, personnes et sources d’information liés au domaine concerné pour permettre d’approfondir la recherche dans une approche itérative.
Rnest permet ainsi d’explorer des pans entiers du web qui échappent à la connaissance de l’utilisateur, faute de temps. Rnest effectue à chaque recherche web la quantité de travail de 10 collaborateurs pendant un an.
Pour cela, Rnest met en œuvre une intelligence artificielle « explicable » et traçable, générant la confiance sur l’origine et le traitement des données web.
