Ses missions :
Comme tous les Centres de Lutte Contre le Cancer (CLCC), le Centre Henri-Becquerel assure une triple mission de :
- Soins : dépistage, diagnostic, traitements des cancers et surveillance
- Recherche : recherche fondamentale, recherche clinique
- Enseignement : formation des étudiants des secteurs médicaux et paramédicaux, formation continue des professionnels de santé (habilité DPC)
La majorité des pathologies cancéreuses peuvent être prises en charge par le Centre et plus particulièrement dans les domaines suivants : sénologie (cancer du sein), gynécologie, hématologie, ORL maxillo-facial et thyroïde, neurologie, sarcomes, tumeurs rares, mais aussi appareil respiratoire, appareil digestif, dermatologie, urologie.
Porteur d’un modèle basé sur la pluridisciplinarité propre aux CLCC, et tendant vers une médecine personnalisée, le suivi des patients est assuré par une équipe médicale composée de différents spécialistes (chirurgien, radiothérapeute, oncologue...) soutenue par des paramédicaux (kinésithérapeute, diététicienne...). Il s’agit d’un travail collectif au bénéfice du patient.
