Normandie Equitable is an association founded in 2011 by fair trade structures convinced that together, they could advance a more humane economy on the scale of their territory by offering innovative and joyful actions to the general public.
Convinced that they were not alone in sharing this vision, the ten founding members set out in search of structures that shared their values and the network gradually grew.
Today, Normandie Equitable brings together around forty structures which participate in the construction of an eco-responsible economy in Normandy, from the tip of Le Havre to that of Cherbourg, via Caen, Rouen, Granville, Flers...
These structures work in all fields and in all sectors of activity and seek to prove that all professions can reinvent themselves while respecting people and the environment.
Convinced of having their responsibility in the progression of the economy that they defend, they have become its spearheads and the association has equipped itself with a salaried team in order to carry out inspiring and unifying projects. The objective? Prove to the general public and professionals that it is possible to consume differently! And concretely? Normandie Equitable highlights the multitude of existing alternatives in Normandy to inspire a change in behavior among citizens and thus contribute on its (modest) scale to the construction of a more just and sustainable society!Original language
Pour une économie locale et responsable
Normandie Equitable est une association fondée en 2011 par des structures du commerce équitable persuadée qu’ensemble, ils pouvaient faire progresser une économie plus humaine à l’échelle de leur territoire en proposant des actions innovantes et joyeuses au grand public.
Convaincus qu’ils n’étaient pas seuls à partager cette vision, les dix membres fondateurs sont partis à la recherche de structures partageant leurs valeurs et le réseau a progressivement grossi.
Aujourd’hui, Normandie Equitable rassemble une quarantaine de structures qui participent à la construction d’une économie éco-responsable en Normandie, de la pointe du Havre à celle de Cherbourg, en passant par Caen, Rouen, Granville, Flers...
Ces structures œuvrent dans tous les domaines et dans tous les secteurs d’activités et cherchent à prouver que tous les métiers peuvent se réinventer dans le respect de l’homme et de l’environnement.
Persuadées d’avoir leur responsabilité dans la progression de l’économie qu’ils défendent, ils se sont fait ses fers de lance et l’association s’est dotée d’une équipe salariée afin de porter des projets inspirants et fédérateurs. L’objectif ? Prouver au grand public et aux professionnels qu’il est possible de consommer autrement ! Et concrètement ? Normandie Equitable mets en lumière la multitude d’alternatives existantes en Normandie pour inspirer un changement de comportement chez les citoyens et ainsi contribuer à sa (modeste) échelle à la construction d’une société plus juste et durable !
