The Bioclimatic Architecture Laboratory was born in 2018 from the association of Antoine Perrau Architectures and the Michel Reynaud Architecture and Landscape Workshop (2APMR). Sharing the same values, our two companies came together in 1995 to pool their technical resources within an SCM. Along the way, these links were strengthened by the regrouping of collaborators in 2009. Today this approach has culminated in the creation of the Bioclimatic Architecture Laboratory of La RĂ©union (LAB RĂ©union) and thus allows us to extend our scope of action and improve our readability and efficiency.
With an ecosystem made up of LAB RĂ©union, LEU RĂ©union (2003) and LET RĂ©union (2017), we are today able to support projects in areas of expertise as varied and complementary as town planning, landscape, design, urban and architectural environmental quality, the study of structures and of course architecture. This holistic vision is consistent with our beliefs in global efficiency, optimized collective intelligence and the ability to innovate while respecting the environment.
It is important that our projects fit into this environmental dynamic. This led us to reflect on the concept of bioclimatic architecture in a tropical environment, the basis of our conceptual approach and allows us to find the best balance between the building, the surrounding climate and the comfort of the user; in a low-tech approach or in line with the manifesto of “happy frugality” to which we adhere.

Le Laboratoire Architecture Bioclimatique est né en 2018 de l’association d’Antoine Perrau Architectures et de l’Atelier d’ Architecture et de Paysage Michel Reynaud (2APMR). Partageant les mêmes valeurs, nos deux sociétés se sont rapprochées en 1995 pour mettre en commun leurs moyens techniques au sein d’une SCM. Chemin faisant, ces liens se sont renforcé par le regroupement des collaborateurs en 2009. Aujourd’hui cette démarche connait son aboutissement dans la création du Laboratoire d’Architecture Bioclimatique de La Réunion (LAB Réunion) et nous permet ainsi d’étendre notre périmètre d’action et d’améliorer notre lisibilité et notre efficacité.
Forts d’un écosystème constitué de LAB Réunion, LEU Réunion (2003) et LET Réunion (2017), nous sommes aujourd’hui en mesure d’accompagner des projets dans des domaines de compétences aussi variées et complémentaires que l’urbanisme, le paysage, le design, la qualité environnementale urbaine et architecturale, l’étude de structures et bien sur l’architecture. Cette vision holistique rejoint nos convictions d’une efficacité globale, d’une intelligence collective optimisée et de la capacité à innover dans le respect de l’environnement.
Il est important que nos projets s’insèrent dans cette dynamique environnementale. Cela nous a amené à réfléchir sur le concept de l’architecture bioclimatique en milieu tropical, base de notre approche conceptuelle et nous permet de trouver le meilleur équilibre entre le bâtiment, le climat environnant et le confort de l’usager; dans une approche lowtech ou encore en phase avec le manifeste de « la frugalité heureuse » auquel nous adhérons.
