Founded by three journalists in March 2008, the Association of Small and Medium Enterprise Journalists (Ajpme) aims to facilitate the work of its members by giving them access to quality sources on current and substantive subjects, around economic and social themes linked to SMEs.
Independent, Ajpme was born from the observation that no association brought together journalists who follow subjects that concern VSEs, SMEs, start-ups, craftsmen, traders, business creators, franchisees, players in the social and solidarity economy or the collaborative economy... structures which represent more than 98% of companies and half of jobs in France. The association brings together journalists working in all types of media, written press, Internet, television, radio. They are employees or freelancers, reflecting the diversity of statuses in the profession. They work for general or specialist media, and deal in particular with subjects linked to SMEs.
The activities offered allow members to collect quality information directly and quickly through different formats of professional events, round tables, meetings with personalities & economic and business stakeholders, study trips to several European countries. Our activities facilitate the investigative work of our members by giving them access to qualified contacts and direct sources of information and qualified contacts.
The Ajpme also aims, through convivial events in particular - culinary workshops and tastings, visits to museums and exhibitions, after-work, etc. - to connect journalists, who can thus exchange ideas with each other, expand their network.

Fondée par trois journalistes en mars 2008, l’Association des journalistes des petites et moyennes entreprises (Ajpme) a pour objectif de faciliter le travail de ses adhérents en leur donnant accès à des sources de qualité sur des sujets d’actualité et de fond, autour de thématiques économiques et sociales liées aux PME.
Indépendante, l’Ajpme est née du constat qu’aucune association ne regroupait les journalistes qui suivent les sujets qui concernent TPE, PME, start-up, artisans, commerçants, créateurs d’entreprises, franchisés, acteurs de l’économie sociale et solidaire ou de l’économie collaborative... des structures qui représentent plus de 98% des entreprises et la moitié des emplois en France. L’association rassemble des journalistes évoluant dans tous les types de médias, presse écrite, Internet, télévision, radio. Ils sont salariés ou pigistes, à l’image de la diversité des statuts dans la profession. Ils travaillent pour des médias généralistes ou spécialisés, et traitent notamment de sujets liés aux PME.
Les activités proposées permettent aux adhérents de collecter de façon directe et rapide une information de qualité à travers différents formats d’événements professionnels, tables rondes, rencontres avec des personnalités & acteurs de l'économie et de l'entreprise, voyages d'étude dans plusieurs des pays européens. Nos activités facilitent le travail d'enquête de nos adhérents en leur donnant accès à des contacts qualifiés et à des sources d'information directes et des contacts qualifiés.
L’Ajpme se donne aussi pour ambition, à travers des événements conviviaux notamment - ateliers culinaires et dégustations, visites de musées et d’expositions, after-work... - de mettre en relation les journalistes, qui peuvent ainsi échanger entre eux, étoffer leur réseau.
