Our Story

VEO is a Newcastle University spin-off company born out of an innovative concept created in light of our founders’ experiences designing large-scale teacher and leadership training in West Africa.

The team found that teachers were struggling to practically apply skills in the classroom, although they fully understood the concepts ‘on paper’, so they tried recording and playing back the teachers’ own performance.

Physically seeing how they were, or were not, applying the skills they’d learned completely transformed the teachers’ ability to identify where to improve.

Fast-forward to the development of VEO, and the platform now combines video and data to digitally record, track and improve performance, creating ‘lightbulb learning moments’ with its unique time-stamp tagging functionality.

Now VEO is not just used by teachers, but healthcare professional, universities, and multi-site or global organisations with a need for remote collaboration and knowledge-sharing too.
