L’Observatoire International des Avocats en Danger (OIAD) est une initiative du Conseil national des barreaux (France), du Barreau de Paris (France), du Consejo General de la Abogacía Española (Espagne) et du Consiglio Nazionale Forense (Italie).
Lancé en 2015, l’OIAD a pour objet de défendre les avocats menacés dans le cadre de l’exercice de leur profession et de dénoncer les situations attentatoires aux droits de la défense.
Il a pour ambition de s’articuler dans le paysage des mécanismes de protection des avocats en général et des avocats défenseurs des droits de l’Homme en particulier, en complétant les dispositifs existants et en travaillant en étroite collaboration avec les réseaux établis.
En rassemblant un maximum de Barreaux et d’organisations, l’OIAD se pose comme un acteur essentiel, d’envergure internationale, de la défense des avocats en danger.
