SHURA Energy Transition Center aims to contribute to decarbonization as an innovative energy transition platform. SHURA was established to meet the need for a sustainable and widely accepted platform where the political, technological and economic aspects of the Turkish energy sector are discussed. SHURA's mission is to support discussions on Turkey's transition to a low-carbon energy system by using fact-based analyses and the most up-to-date and valid data. Taking into account the perspectives of many stakeholders, the center contributes to a better understanding of the economic potential, technical feasibility and relevant policy instruments of this transition. SHURA Energy Transition Center was established by the European Climate Foundation (ECF), Agora Energiewende and Sabancı University (SU) Istanbul Policy Center (IPC).
In line with this mission, SHURA offers the Turkish energy community information products and services through working groups on the themes of politics, economy, technology and strategic partnership, as well as the opportunity for dialogue between the energy system, electricity, heating and cooling and transportation sectors.

Çok sayıda paydaşın bakış açılarını dikkate alan merkez, bu geçişin ekonomik potansiyeli, teknik fizibilitesi ve ilgili politika araçlarının daha iyi anlaşılmasına katkı sunmaktadır. SHURA Enerji Dönüşümü Merkezi Avrupa İklim Vakfı (ECF), Agora Energiewende ve Sabancı Üniversitesi (SÜ) İstanbul Politikalar Merkezi (İPM) tarafından kurulmuştur.
Bu misyon doğrultusunda SHURA, Türkiye enerji camiasına politika, ekonomi, teknoloji ve stratejik ortaklık temalı çalışma grupları aracılığıyla bilgi ürünleri ve hizmetlerinin yanı sıra, enerji sistemi, elektrik, ısıtma ve soğutma ve ulaşım sektörleri arasında diyalog imkanı sunmaktadır.
