The activist shipping company
Windcoop operates container ships under sail, propelled mostly by wind power, which is inexhaustible, clean and free. These innovative ships contribute to develop a low carbon transport.
Our first sailing cargo will go into building in 2023. Our ambition is for it to be owned by a host of shipowners wishing to accelerate the transition of maritime transport.
Windcoop is structured as a cooperative, and offers everyone (individuals, companies and communities) the opportunity to become a member in order to offer a new shipping company model.
This progressive project will allow all stakeholders to develop a low-carbon transport model, concerned about people and the environment.Original language
Compagnie Maritime Militante
Windcoop est une compagnie maritime coopérative qui opère des porte-conteneurs à la voile, propulsés en majeure partie par l’énergie du vent, inépuisable, propre et gratuite. Ces navires innovants contribuent à développer un transport moins polluant.
Notre premier cargo à voiles entrera en construction en 2023. Notre ambition est qu’il soit détenu par une foule d’armateurs désireux d’accélérer la transition du transport maritime.
Structuré en coopérative, Windcoop propose à chacun, particuliers, entreprises et collectivités, de devenir sociétaire afin de proposer un nouveau modèle de compagnie maritime. Ce projet militant, permettra à toutes les parties prenantes de développer un modèle de transport bas-carbone, soucieux des Hommes et de l’environnement.
