The LIP6, Sorbonne University and French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), UMR 7606 Sorbonne University - CNRS, is a computer science research laboratory dedicated to the modeling and the resolution of fundamental problems driven by applications, as well as to the implementation and the validation through academic and industrial partnerships.

Le LIP6, unité mixte de recherche du CNRS et de Sorbonne Université (UMR 7606), est l'un des principaux laboratoires de recherche en informatique en France.
Situé au coeur de Paris sur le campus Pierre et Marie Curie de Sorbonne Université, il rassemble plus de 400 chercheurs, doctorants, stagiaires et personnels de soutien à la recherche.
Le laboratoire est organisé en 18 équipes articulées autour de quatre axes transverses :
• Intelligence artificielle et sciences des données (AID) ;
• Architecture, systèmes et réseaux (ASN) ;
• Sécurité, sûreté et fiabilité (SSR) ;
• Théorie et mathématiques pour l'informatique (TMC).
Plus précisément, la recherche menée au LIP6 se consacre à la modélisation et la résolution de problèmes fondamentaux en informatique, motivés par leurs applications concrètes ; ainsi qu'à la mise en oeuvre et la validation de solutions à ces problèmes, au travers notamment de partenariats académiques et industriels.
