About Vri

Over VRI
VRI werd in 1995 opgericht als belangenorganisatie voor alle actoren die in Vlaanderen actief zijn in de ruimtevaart. De vereniging telt vandaag 42 leden en groeit gestaag. De ruimtevaartsector vertegenwoordigt in Vlaanderen een omzet van 350 miljoen euro en is met 1.400 hooggekwalificeerde technici, ingenieurs en wetenschappers een drijvende kracht voor innovatie. Vlaamse ruimtevaarttechnologie zorgt voor economische groei, versterkt het concurrentievermogen en stimuleert de jobcreatie. Daarnaast leveren Vlaamse ruimtevaartactoren met hun technologie en expertise een onmisbare bijdrage aan het oplossen van grote maatschappelijke uitdagingen, zoals klimaatverandering of veilige communicatie.

VRI coördineert op vraag van de Vlaamse regering een ambitieus programma om de ruimtevaarteconomie in Vlaanderen een nieuwe impuls te geven.
