Sa mission est de développer et exploiter des projets solaires photovoltaïques et smartgrid en milieu urbain (en toitures et ombrières).

Son ambition est de faciliter les initiatives locales pour promouvoir l’ancrage territorial de la production d’énergie. Il est résolument engagé à faire émerger des solutions pragmatiques pour encourager les initiatives individuelles et citoyennes, en complément et en cohérence avec les initiatives structurelles des pouvoirs publics et réglementaires.

L’une des missions de SerenySun est de faciliter l’accès à l’énergie solaire aux particuliers résidentiels et aux collectivités locales, grâce à l'autoconsommation collective, en proposant un modèle basé sur l’économie de fonctionnalité. C’est-à-dire, proposer un service d’énergie solaire produit localement sans que les propriétaires résidentiels n’aient à investir dans l’équipement, ce que nous appelons « Solar Energy as-a-Service ».
