Founded by the navigator and scientific Raphaëla Le Gouvello, respectocean is an association which brings together actors and companies committed for sustainable economic development in favor of the protection and preservation of the ocean, the coast and their ecosystems.
Network members carry innovations and solutions that contribute to the preservation of the ocean or embody the efforts to be put in place to reduce the impacts of economic activities.
At the end of 2022, after a little more than four years of official existence, Respectoci federated more than 90 members.
Present on the national territory, the association brings together a great diversity of actors, having as a common denominator their desire to reduce the impact of their activities on marine and coastal ecosystems and/or to help keep them healthy.
The main missions of the association are to contribute to the promotion of these solutions and innovations, to promote synergies between projects and to contribute to the rise of the sustainable economy for the ocean.
For this, various actions are carried out and in particular a program of webinars which has a double objective: to better know the issues and issues related to the preservation of the ocean and the achievement of the objective of sustainable development 14; Make known the solutions carried by economic actors to respond to these issues.
The association has an opening on the international since it is allied in France with the accelerator of American startup Sustainable Ocean Alliance.
In this context, the association is carrying out a Pitchs (Ocean Pitch Challenge) competition for French actors.

Les membres du réseau portent des innovations et solutions qui contribuent à la préservation de l'océan ou incarnent les efforts à mettre en place pour réduire les impacts des activités économiques.

Les missions principales de l'association sont de contribuer à la promotion de ces solutions et innovations, de favoriser les synergies entre les projets et de contribuer à la montée en puissance de l'économie durable pour l'océan.
Pour cela, différents actions sont menées et notamment un programme de webinaires qui a un double objectif : mieux faire connaitre les enjeux et les problématiques liées à la préservation de l'océan et l'atteinte de l'Objectif du développement durable 14 ; faire connaitre les solutions portées par les acteurs économiques pour répondre à ces enjeux.
L'association a une ouverture sur l'internationale puisqu'elle est alliée en France avec l'accélérateur de startup américaine Sustainable Ocean Alliance.
Dans ce cadre, l'association porte un concours de pitchs (Ocean pitch challenge) à destination des acteurs français.
