En World Resources Institute México buscamos mover a la sociedad hacia un modelo de vida que proteja al medio ambiente y que asegure la capacidad de proveer recursos para satisfacer las necesidades de las generaciones presentes y futuras.
Enfocamos nuestro trabajo en cuatro de los seis programas críticos para asegurar el futuro sustentable, con los siguientes objetivos:
Ciudades
Mejorar la calidad de vida en las ciudades a través del desarrollo y escalamiento de soluciones urbanas y de movilidad que sean ambiental, social y económicamente sustentables
Clima
Impulsar la transición global hacia una economía baja en carbono que genere oportunidades de desarrollo y, al mismo tiempo, proteja a las comunidades y los ecosistemas naturales del daño
causado por los GEI.
Bosques
Reducir la pérdida de bosques y restaurar la productividad de las zonas boscosas degradadas para conservar la biodiversidad, mitigar el cambio climático, reducir la pobreza y mejorar la seguridad alimentaria.
Energía
Guiar el escalamiento de sistemas energéticos limpios y asequibles en el mundo para lograr desarrollo socio-económico sustentable.

Asegurar que los sistemas alimentarios reduzcan su impacto en el medio ambiente y que generen oportunidades económicas y alimentación sustentable para 9.6 billones de personas para 2050.
