The Faculty of Education is one of the world's leading centres for educational research and teaching.

The University of Cambridge's Faculty of Education is The Faculty is one of the largest groups of educational researchers and teacher educators in the UK. We undertake world-leading research and teaching and act as a significant contributor to the improvement of educational policy and practice in partnership with schools, colleges and other educational agencies both in the UK and internationally. The Faculty is home to the Cambridge PGCE, as well as Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral programmes, as well as a range of Practitioner Professional Development courses.

As one of the world's leading centres for education research, our presiding ethos is that education is central to the biggest challenges facing society. If we want to shape the future positively, then education is one of the most important things we can do. We undertake a large and diverse portfolio of research, organised into various, overlapping Research Group and Centres. Connecting all of these is a commitment to making a meaningful difference to communities – and in particular disadvantaged communities – in our own region, across the UK, and around the world. Many of our research projects operate as part of a network of relationships with bodies, organisations and partners around the world in order to sure that our work results in clear-sighted recommendations and practical outcomes for policy and practice.
