Global Recycling Day promotes recycling globally. Celebrated each year on 18th March.
Every year, the earth yields billions of tons of natural resources to transform into consumables. At some point, there will be nothing left. That’s why we must, as a planet, think again about what we throw away – seeing not waste, but opportunity.
Recycling is a key part of the circular economy, helping to protect our natural resources. By using Recyclables - Seventh Resource - we are saving over 1 billion tons of CO2 emissions .
The mission of Ranjit Baxi, Founding President, is;
1.. To share the message globally that recycling is simply too important not to be a global issue, and that a common, joined up approach to recycling is urgently needed.
2..To promote the message across all the Continents - To think resource, not waste, when it comes to the goods that we consume so as to help build a Green sustainable planet .
3. Recycling helps in meeting Climate change goals and will always remain an Integral part of the Climate Change Wheel if we are to avert the Climate crisis. .
4.. Annually to recognise our unsung #recyclingheroes globally who are helping to promote Recycling, cleaner & greener planet.
