Universeum is founded by Chalmers University of Technology, the University of Gothenburg, the Municipal Association of the Gothenburg Region and the West Swedish Chamber of Commerce. It is from our founders that we have received our mission; to positively influence young people's attitudes towards science, technology and mathematics so that more people choose to study and work in these fields. We believe that we succeed best by inspiring and stimulating the interest of all visitors – students and teachers, children and parents, young and old.
Preschools and schools use Universeum and our school programs as a supplement to traditional teaching. In our exhibitions, they get to experience natural science and technology. Our
investment in teachers provides many opportunities for competence development. Universeum's continuing education programs awaken the desire for science and technology and give teachers knowledge and new tools to use in the classroom.

Universeum är grundat av Chalmers tekniska högskola, Göteborgs universitet, Göteborgsregionens kommunalförbund och Västsvenska Handelskammaren. Det är av våra grundare vi har fått vårt uppdrag; att positivt påverka ungas attityder till naturvetenskap, teknik och matematik så att fler väljer att studera och arbeta inom dessa områden. Vi tror att vi lyckas bäst genom att inspirera och stimulera intresset hos alla besökare – elever och lärare, barn och föräldrar, unga och äldre.
Förskolor och skolor använder Universeum och våra skolprogram som ett komplement till den traditionella undervisningen. I våra utställningar får de uppleva naturvetenskap och teknik. Vår
