    The IAEE is a global and independent organization for advancing the knowledge, and application of #energy #economics.

    The International Association for Energy Economics was founded in 1977 as a result of the 1970's energy crisis. IAEE is a worldwide, non-profit, professional organization headquartered in the United States, with members in over 70 nations. It provides an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of ideas, experiences and issues among professionals interested in the field of energy economics.

    IAEE publishes three periodicals. The Energy Journal is a bi-monthly publication sent to all members and covers a variety of topics such as Alternative Energy Fuels, Energy Conservation, Greenhouse Effect and Renewable Energy Issues, etc. Nonmembers may purchase the Journal through the IAEE website. Economics of Energy & Environmental Policy is published twice per year and covers a variety of topics in the interface between energy and environmental economics, with a policy orientation. The IAEE Newsletter covers the latest information on the Association, and contains topical articles of interest to a general audience interested in the energy field. All of these publications may be reviewed in greater detail in our publications section. A membership directory is also available to members online.

    International Conferences are held each year and usually there are regional meetings hosted by IAEE Affiliates as well. Past meetings have taken place in cities such as Sydney, Florence, Quebec, New Orleans, Potsdam, Washington D.C. and Copenhagen. These conferences attract delegates and speakers from around the world, and from some of the most influential government, corporate and academic circles.
