The Italian Federation for the Rational Use of Energy - FIRE - is an independent, non-profit technical-scientific association founded in 1987, whose aim is to promote the efficient use of energy, supporting those who work in the sector through institutional activities and services provided and promoting a positive evolution of the legislative and regulatory framework.

La Federazione Italiana per l'uso Razionale dell'Energia - FIRE - è un'associazione tecnico-scientifica indipendente e no profit, fondata nel 1987, il cui scopo è promuovere l'uso efficiente dell'energia, supportando attraverso le attività istituzionali e servizi erogati chi opera nel settore e promuovendo un'evoluzione positiva del quadro legislativo e regolatorio.

Fra i circa 500 associati figurano produttori di energia, utility, produttori di tecnologie per l'efficienza e le rinnovabili, ESCo, università, amministrazioni, associazioni, energy manager e professionisti.
