Pertenece al Departamento de Salud Valencia La Fe, formado por el Hospital La Fe de la Avda. Fernando Abril Martorell (1000 camas), el Centro Sanitario Campanar- Espai Ernest Lluch, un centro de especialidades, 20 centros de atención primaria, una Escuela de Enfermería y un Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria. Presta atención sanitaria universal, integral y personalizada de urgencia, ambulatoria, hospitalización y atención domiciliaria en todas las especialidades médicas y quirúrgicas existentes en la actualidad.
Cuenta con una plantilla de cerca de 7.000 personas: 1.100 médicos, 400 residentes en formación y cerca de 3.800 personas en las áreas de enfermería (matronas, Diplomados Universitarios de Enfermería (DUE), fisioterapeutas, terapeutas ocupacionales, técnicos de Radiología...). El resto lo completa personal de gestión y servicios generales.
Dispone de más de 15 unidades de referencia nacional acreditadas por el Ministerio de Sanidad y Política Social y tres europeas. Es líder nacional en trasplante, pues es el único centro de España acreditado para realizar todo tipo de trasplantes de órganos y tejidos. En su vertiente docente, La Fe se sitúa entre los primeros hospitales de España elegidos por los Médicos Internos Residentes (MIR).
