Value proposition

The Federal Statistics Office (FSO) is the competence centre for Swiss official statistics. Attached to the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA), it coordinates the official statistics system and provides the statistical information required for the proper functioning of our democracy.

In addition to publishing important statistical information on the country’s situation and development, the FSO produces harmonised bases for the purpose of national and international comparability and is now also active in data science.
