We are pleased to announce our participation in this year’s Art Basel Basel.
For Art Basel Basel 2024, mor charpentier presents a thought-provoking project that showcases the artists' profound sensitivity to the current moment, offering a nuanced exploration of contemporary realities through a multifaceted perspective. The dialogue between different generations of artists creates a dynamic experience as they produce evocative visuals capturing the contradictions of the modern world, reflecting the kaleidoscopic and fragmented nature of our time. The exhibition features works by Anas Albraehe, Guadalupe Maravilla, Rayan Yasmineh, Kader Attia, Chen Ching-Yuan, Sylvie Selig, Nohemí Pérez, Rossella Biscotti, and Teresa Margolles, each contributing to a diverse and compelling narrative that embraces the complexities of our present while acknowledging the influence of the past.
Art Basel Basel opens on June 13, 2024. See you at the fair!
We are pleased to announce that Anas Albraehe will join mor charpentier as a represented artist.
Anas Albraehe found inspiration in the rich details of his surroundings, which were heavily influenced by French artists like Millet, Breton, Matisse, and Gauguin. His vibrant paintings vividly portray the intricate nuances of human psychology through intricate compositions and a vivid color palette that instinctively echoes the harmonious beauty of his environment. Despite the geographical distance, Albraehe maintains a strong connection to his Syrian roots, weaving his homeland’s aesthetics and emotional textures into intuitive, soulful explorations of color and shape that separate his imaginative works from reality.
Stay tuned to find out more about Anas’s upcoming works and exhibitions!
We are pleased to announce that Nicolás Paris will join mor charpentier as a represented artist. His practice is distinguished by generating heightened awareness of the every day and promoting deeper interaction with our surroundings through an artistic lens. Central to Paris’ work is exploring pedagogical strategies from his previous experience as a teacher in rural Colombia. He transforms exhibition spaces into laboratories fostering collaboration, open inquiry, and egalitarian dialogue focused on the collective development of artistic projects.
Paris’ installations, drawings, workshops, and videos are characterized by their gentle and contemplative nature. He uses fundamental elements of art, architecture, and education to create a new language of communication. For him, the artistic medium is a catalyst for transient, polyvalent experiences rather than a result. Stay tuned to find out more about Nicolás Paris's upcoming works and exhibitions with the gallery!
We are pleased to announce our participation at this year’s Art Basel Hong Kong!
For Art Basel Hong Kong 2024, mor charpentier presents a project based on the idea of the human landscape, understood as a representation of nature where the presence of mankind is almost invisible yet its impact is decisive. Throughout a selection of artworks, the stories of migration and ecological distress intertwine with examples of hope and renewal.
Art Basel Hong Kong opens on March 27, 2024. See you at the fair!
