The Trade Association for the UK Downstream Sector

Fuels Industry UK, which changed name from the UK Petroleum Industry Association (UKPIA) in August 2023, represents the main refining and downstream marketing companies operating in the UK. Associate memberships are available for other companies in the downstream supply chain, such as LNG, Sustainable Aviation Fuel and distribution companies. Our members and associates play a vital role in the supply of fuel products used in road transport, aviation, marine and heating fuels, for power generation and as feedstocks for the petrochemicals industry. Millions of consumers, along with thousands of businesses, hospitals, schools, the emergency services, maritime and aviation customers depend on these supplies for mobility, power and heating. As the energy landscape in the UK transforms, the refining and downstream sector will continue to adapt and provide innovative solutions to meet the challenges posed by this transformation.
