Azur Sport Santé est une association loi 1901 fondée en août 2015 à Nice avec le soutien de l’Agence Régionale de Santé PACA.
Elle est née d’échanges au sein de l’Espace Partagé de Santé Publique sur les actions qui permettraient de développer le sport santé au niveau local, et de la volonté des membres du comité de pilotage du projet As du Cœur de créer une structure susceptible de promouvoir, accélérer et initier le développement des activités physiques adaptées aux publics atteints de maladies chroniques dans la région.
L’ARS PACA a souhaité que cette structure indépendante, dont les fondateurs sont tous issus d’expériences de terrain, devienne un véritable centre de ressources et d’expertises, et nous a donc confié une lourde tâche mais passionnante et enthousiasmante.
