Serving a population of 150,000 Council is working closely with a range of partners to drive social, economic and environmental change here through its Strategic Growth Plan.

This blueprint for development and regeneration will drive economic growth and prosperity creating a thriving, prosperous and sustainable City and District with equality of opportunity for all. We plan to bring 15,100 new jobs to the city over the next 15 years, generating £203m in additional wages and £1.1bn additional GVA.
