BDMLR is a charity dedicated to the rescue of marine mammals using our network of over 2500 trained volunteers.

British Divers Marine Life Rescue is a charity dedicated to the rescue and wellbeing of marine mammals in distress around the UK.

We have a network of trained volunteer Marine Mammal Medics who respond to callouts from the general public, HM Coastguard, Police, SSPCA and RSPCA. In fact, we are the primary marine mammal rescue organisation in the country and are not only called upon by the other emergency services, but also train their staff. Our rescue teams are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We have a wide range of equipment strategically placed throughout the country to deal with incidents including strandings, oil spills and large whale entanglement at sea. This includes rescue boats, equipment trailers, whale and dolphin pontoon sets, whale disentanglement kits and each area has a Medic Kit with essential supplies.

Volunteer training, Dolphin rescue, Whale rescue, Seal rescue, Large whale disentanglement, and Seal hospital
