Combining missions of dissemination and mediation, collection and production as close as possible to artists, the Frac develops an artistic program with a set of partners in the territory which materializes through inventive actions and moments to share around the works.

Le Fonds régional d'art contemporain Nouvelle-Aquitaine MÉCA est une collection publique qui voyage partout en région et au-delà. Installé à la MÉCA, à Bordeaux, il propose des expositions et événements pour toutes et tous ! Pour nous, la création contemporaine agit comme générateur de liens.
Soutenir la création contemporaine par la constitution d’une collection d’œuvres d’art pour la porter à la connaissance du plus grand nombre, tel est l’engagement qui a fondé l’ADN du Frac Aquitaine en 1982, renommé Frac Nouvelle-Aquitaine MÉCA en février 2019. Combinant ainsi des missions de diffusion et de médiation, de collection et de production au plus près des artistes, le Frac développe une programmation artistique avec un ensemble de partenaires sur le territoire qui se concrétise par des actions inventives et des moments à partager autour des œuvres.
