La FEDOM (Fédération des entreprises d’Outre-mer) est une association composée à l’origine des organisations patronales des départements d’Outre-Mer puis au fil des années de celles de Nouvelle Calédonie, de la Polynésie Française, de Mayotte, et de Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, auxquelles se sont associées les Fédérations du BTP, les Fédérations du tourisme, des Chambres de Commerce, ainsi que des associations d’entreprises. La FEDOM regroupe ainsi les organisations patronales les plus représentatives correspondant à environ 110 0000 entreprises de ces territoires pour l’essentiel du champ des industries, commerces, services et pour partie du champ agricole, et employant plus de 600 000 salariés.
La FEDOM représente et défend la singularité des besoins économiques de l’Outre-mer, de telle sorte que les caractères spécifiques communs à ces territoires (distance, insularité, micromarchés, niveau de l’emploi, coûts salariaux et sociaux européens dans des zones tropicales, etc...) soient pris en compte par les pouvoirs publics français et européens. Dans ce but, la FEDOM coordonne les points de vue de ses adhérents, leur apporte son assistance technique et se fait leur relais auprès des différents interlocuteurs politiques et administratifs, ainsi qu’auprès des médias et des autres milieux professionnels intéressés. Elle assure également l’information permanente de ses adhérents sur les lois et règlements ainsi que sur les projets en cours les concernant.
