The Perce-Neige Association transformed itself into a Foundation recognized as being of public utility (FRUP) in May 2016 (decree of 05/13/2016).

The Perce-Neige Foundation today manages 50 specialized establishments (IME, EAM, EANM, MAS) spread across the entire territory.
Perce-Neige opened in 2016 in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine) the first Specialized Reception Center intended to welcome and support people suffering from Locked-in syndrome (LIS), a rare neurological condition. mostly following a stroke.

Créée en 1966 à l'initiative du célèbre acteur Lino VENTURA, Perce-Neige a pour but d'accueillir et d'accompagner, de façon adaptée, les enfants et les adultes touchés par une déficience mentale, un handicap physique, psychique, un polyhandicap ou l'autisme.
Elle est aujourd'hui présidée par Christophe Lasserre-Ventura, petit-fils du fondateur.
Depuis sa création il y a plus de 55 ans, Perce-Neige poursuit son objectif principal : permettre aux personnes handicapées de vivre un quotidien serein dans un environnement à taille humaine. Elle joue un rôle majeur par ses actions concrètes :
- réalisation et gestion de maisons de vie pour accueillir les personnes en situation de handicap,
- conseil et soutien auprès des familles,
- interpellation des pouvoirs publics,
- soutien à des programmes de scolarisation d'enfants avec TSA.
La Fondation Perce-Neige gère aujourd'hui 50 établissements spécialisés (IME, EAM, EANM, MAS) répartis sur l'ensemble du territoire.
