Sa rencontre avec l’art, David Kassar la doit au fruit du hasard. C’est lorsqu’il vivait à Montréal au début des années 1990 qu’il fait la connaissance du directeur d’une boutique de matériel artistique qui, au fil des discussions lui propose d’essayer la peinture comme exutoire en lui fournissant tout le matériel nécessaire pour se lancer.

Depuis 1994, David a réalisé plus de 200 toiles, toutes plus impressionnantes les unes que les autres, et se consacre entièrement à son art.
Certaines d’entre elles ont été vendues aux enchères, à des fins caritatives et d’autres sont restées à Montréal ou sont exposées dans des cabinets d’avocats à Paris.
Son talent a également été reconnu par l’Ecole de Commerce de Toulouse, qui a acquis via un sponsor une de ses toiles pour sa fondation et les bénéfices ont été reversés à des étudiants à faibles revenus.
Ses œuvres sont le fruit d’un échange spontané et sans préparation avec la toile, un exutoire qui lui permet de communiquer avec le monde.
