Supporting children under 5 with Cerebral Palsy and other motor learning impairments realise full their potential.

Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity supports under 5s' with Cerebral Palsy and other motor learning impairments realise their potential.

Every year in the UK, 1,800 children are born with cerebral palsy - a condition that affects a child's muscle control and movement, and is often caused by a condition to the brain.

Our aim is to give children the very best start towards a life of greater independence.

At our Centre based in Cuckfield, West Sussex we offer families an early intervention service based upon the principles of Conductive Education.

Parents and children work together in a supportive environment improving a child's physical, social and emotional skills.

We offer hands on structured one-to-one and small group sessions.

Transdisciplinary team including: Paediatric physio, speech and language support and an outreach support service.

Additional services include music therapy, swimming, sensory sessions, messy play, home play sessions and a parent support network.

We have helped more than 600 families from across the South East. Parents travel from Sussex, Kent, Surrey and London to access our services.

We receive no statutory funding. All the services we offer are provided free of charge. We rely entirely on the support of the community to raise the funds needed to ensure that this vital and service can continue.

We are extremely grateful for all the support we receive from the local community and beyond. Those companies we work with enjoy mutually beneficial partnerships as we help strengthen their corporate social responsibility.

We celebrate the children we work with, no matter their ability, to show the wider world everything they can do.
