Close to the field, elected officials (departmental councilors) listen to the rhythm of local life, they know the habits, needs and projects of citizens and businesses in Ariège. Human and territorial solidarity, departmental roads, colleges, fire and rescue services, culture and heritage, public reading network, and even environment and land use planning are among the areas of action of the Department.
