The Mayotte Academy is a young academy with a full -service rectorate since January 1, 2020. The rectorate also ensures the missions of an academic inspection and is in charge of the constructions, maintenance, equipment and proper functioning of secondary schools. At the start of the 2022 school year, more than 112,000 students were welcomed within 33 second degree establishments and 188 schools, by 8,500 agents, including more than 7,000 teachers. The Mayotte Academy has been placed under the authority of the rector Jacques Mikulovic since January 2, 2023.
