Premios Quirino de la Animación Iberoamericana. Prémios Quirino de Animação Iberoamericana.
Los Premios Quirino nacen de la necesidad de unos premios que reconozcan el talento en la industria de la animación iberoamericana, generando lazos y redes entre ambos lados del océano.
El evento reúne por tanto la floreciente industria latinoamericana, junto con la de Portugal, Andorra y España construyendo un verdadero hermanamiento para desarrollar juntos el gran mercado que es Iberoamérica.
En paralelo se celebran un foro de coproducción iberoamericano y negocio.
Los premios se han nombrado en honor al creador del primer largometraje de animación de la historia; en 1917 Quirino Cristiani dirigió “El Apóstol”, una producción argentina en donde se utilizaron 58.000 dibujos en 35 mm, además de varias maquetas.
De esta forma, los Premios Quirino rinden homenaje al talento y la creatividad iberoamericana.

The Quirino Awards are born out of the necessity of an award that recognizes the talent of the Ibero-American animation industry, generating links and networks between both sides of the ocean.
Therefore, the event will gathers the blooming Latin-American industry along with the Portuguese, Andorran and Spanish industries, building a true brotherhood to develop the great market that is Ibero-America together.
An Ibero-American coproduction forum is generated parallel to the awards.
The awards are named in honour of the creator of the first animated feature film; in 1917 Quirino Cristiani directed `El Apóstol ́, an Argentinian production where 58.000 drawings in 35 mm were used besides several miniatures.
This is why the Quirino Awards pay homage to the Ibero-American talent and creativity.
