PITON is a unique system in France created by the Savoie Mont Blanc University, with the support of the USMB Foundation.
It aims to bring together students and private and public structures around projects to meet the challenges of innovation and digital transformation.
PITON offers COMPANIES the opportunity to boost an innovation project by taking advantage of:
✅ a multidisciplinary team of 3 to 5 students, i.e. from different backgrounds depending on the needs for the project
✅ a support framework focused on innovative project management
✅ work spaces specially dedicated to PITON projects
✅ easy access to USMB laboratories and prototyping spaces (under conditions)
to achieve concrete results at the end of the project in 3 to 6 months.
These results are defined upstream and may involve the creation of a functional demonstrator, a complete business plan with a market and financial analysis, technical feasibility studies, markets and others, etc.

On the STUDENT side, the system allows them to complete their compulsory training course (paid):
✅ in a multi-skilled student team to enrich everyone’s knowledge
✅ in start-up mode to promote agility and adaptation
✅ on a high value-added project for a local company
✅ with support to enrich one's range of skills and professional know-how (including the ability to work in a team, to take initiatives, more self-confidence).

The system was created in response to the Disrupt’Campus call for projects launched by Bpifrance as part of Investments for the Future in 2017. -

Unissons nos talents pour innover et inventer l'avenir !
PITON est un dispositif unique en France créé par l'université Savoie Mont Blanc, avec le soutien de la Fondation USMB.
Il vise à rassembler les étudiants et les structures privées et publiques autour de projets pour relever les défis de l’innovation et de la transformation numérique.
PITON propose aux ENTREPRISES de booster un projet d'innovation en profitant :
✅ d'une équipe pluridisciplinaire de 3 à 5 étudiants, c'est-à-dire issus de formations différentes en fonction des besoins pour le projet
✅ d'un cadre d'accompagnement orienté sur la gestion de projet innovant
✅ des espaces de travail spécialement dédiés aux projets PITON
✅ d'un accès facilité aux laboratoires et espaces de prototypages de l'USMB (sous conditions)
pour arriver à la fin du projet, en 3 à 6 mois, à des résultats concrets.
Ces résultats sont définis en amont et il peut s'agir de la réalisation d'un démonstrateur fonctionnel, un business plan complet avec une analyse marché et financière, des études de faisabilités techniques, marchés et autres...

Côté ÉTUDIANTS, le dispositif permet de réaliser son stage obligatoire de formation (rémunéré) :
✅ en équipe étudiante multi-compétences pour enrichir le savoir de chacun
✅ en mode start-up pour favoriser l'agilité et l'adaptation
✅ sur un projet à forte valeur ajoutée d'une entreprise du territoire
✅ avec des accompagnements pour enrichir sa palette de compétences et son savoir-être professionnel (dont la capacité de travail en équipe, à prendre des initiatives, davantage de confiance en soi).
