L’UIE est une fédération professionnelle fondée en 1924 regroupant les industriels du petit cycle de l'eau en France. L'UIE est composée de 8 syndicats de métiers qui couvrent tout le petit cycle de l'eau : forage, construction de stations de traitement des eaux usées, gestion des eaux de pluie et eaux pluviales, assainissement non collectif, génie civil de l'eau, fabrication de canalisations et robinetterie...L'UIE rassemble 200 entreprises adhérentes et 15 000 collaborateurs.
