Our Living Lab approach starts from the creativity of the territories to propose models of general interest.
The aim of the cooperative society Space and Living Labs – E2L is to develop the use of space technologies based on the tools of geospatial information, to serve rural territories, bringing in innovative solutions to create value and to improve existing practices.
The central idea of our LL focuses on the concept of regional living labs: E2L proposes a set of contexts (ways of expressing requirements for users, testing and demonstrations), to prove the usefulness of the applications of research and development activities in space technologies.
Our aim is to support the creation of new services by placing the end user in the position of being a co-developer on the scale of publicly managed territories.
E2L continues to develop the method initiated in the area of Pays Portes de Gascogne which has been the creation of a Pôle d’Expérimentation et d’Application des technologies spatiales – PATS (an experimentation cluster on the use of space technologies). This cluster functions as an instrument enabling the adaptation of structural changes of the local economy to help emerging a new dynamic and competitive knowledge economy , based on the ability to experiment, on the local/regional scale. It supports research and technological development projects, whose strong potential of recovery depends on the transferability of its results to companies. Simultaneously, it encourages companies to enroll in the dynamics of research activities.

Les Objectifs de la scop E2L :
- La conception (le « design ») de nouveaux services exploitant les données des satellites d’observation de la Terre
- La valorisation des méthodes et des savoir-faire en matière de télédétection
- L’invention de modalités nouvelles pour accompagner les acteurs de la recherche publique dans ses nouveaux rôles en appui à l’innovation économique et sociale
Une entreprise qui se structure à mesure de ses expériences :
• 2006-2016 : Investissement sur le développement d’expertises méthodologique Une expérimentation par an sur le territoire du PATS
• Projet PCRD7 « RITA » 2010 : construction méthodologique de l’approche living lab
• Projet chaque année à l’échelle du territoire de projet, consolidation de la démarche innovation ouverte, fondation de France living lab labellisation Enoll.
• 2016 : renforcement des partenariats :
1/Réseau francophone des living labs coopération franco Québécoise,
2/ Accord de collaboration avec la CACG sur le thème de la gestion publique de l’eau, 3/ Implication dans l’animation régionale de THEIA.
• 2017 : Premières missions :
1/ Mission appui et expertise ONFI (gestion de la forêt dans le contexte spécifique du Brésil)
2/ Accompagnement de la Compagnie des Coteaux de Gascogne dans le cadre de la création d’un
service pour la gestion de l’eau « MOSIS » (suivi des cultures irriguées dans le contexte du fleuve Sénégal)
3/ Développement d’un démonstrateur Web GIS CNES CNRS
4/ Sous-traitance du CESBIO pour l’animation de groupe d’utilisateurs dans le cadre d’un projet de
recherche H2020 (2 démarches pilotes en France et l’animation d’une dissémination en Espagne Italie et Pologne)
E2L est une Scop labellisée Enoll (European network of Living Labs) et membre actif de l'association France Living Lab.
