Związek powstał w dniu 16 grudnia 2005 roku. Głównym celem założycieli było powołanie do życia organizacji branżowej, która będzie dbała o szeroko rozumiane interesy firm - członków Związku Cyfrowa Polska, które stanowią istotną część branży RTV i IT inwestującej w Polsce.
Jesteśmy, w odróżnieniu od większości organizacji zrzeszających przedsiębiorców, Związkiem wyspecjalizowanym w ściśle określonej problematyce, która każdorazowo jest określana przez naszych Członków i odzwierciedla główne problemy, z którymi Państwo musza się mierzyć w codziennej działalności.
