💡 Meet Damiano Cerrone.

🏙️ Damiano is an urbanist, researcher and educator. He cofounded SPIN Unit, an urban research and innovation practice; and UrbanistAI, a participatory design platform to reimagine the future of our cities with generative AI.

🌍 Damiano has held various positions, including consultant at Demos Helsinki, Principal Researcher at TERREFOM UR, and visiting researcher and professor at several institutions such as Chalmers University, Beijing University of Technology, Nokia Bell Labs, and Sapienza University of Rome.

He is also Contributor & Advisor at Urban AI and an Instructor of the "AI in Urban Planning" Program (Link to register in the comments ⬇️).

🌍 Aligning Urban AI And Global AI Governance.

🏙️ As artificial intelligence transforms our cities and societies, how can urban AI initiatives align with global governance frameworks to ensure responsible and inclusive AI deployment? And what can global policymakers learn from how cities implement and govern AI?

🗼To address these questions, we are pleased to co-organize an official side event at the AI Action Summit on February 11th, in Paris.

💡 Meet Laura Narvaez Zertuche, PhD.

🏙️ Laura Narvaez Zertuche, PhD is a Partner in the Urban Design Group at Foster + Partners and Contributor & Advisor at Urban AI.

🌍 She has +17 years of experience working in urban design and master planning internationally, primarily in Mexico, UK, the Middle East and Asia. Her work incorporates evidence-based and research-led design that combines informed decision-making with simulation-powered design tools and strategic development of methodologies with their application to architecture and urban design.

🔎 She is currently exploring the aspects of cognitive urbanism as a Lecturer at the Chair of Cognitive Sciences in ETH Zürich and has taught, published, and lectured internationally.

Laura Narvaez Zertuche, PhD is also the co-author of the URBAN AI Guide, one of the pioneering documents offering an operational definition of urban Artificial Intelligence, framed through the concept of an Urban AI Anatomy, and an Instructor of the "AI in Urban Planning" Program (Link to register in the comments ⬇️).
