ECO Foundation is the first organisation formed by Spanish oncologists to analyse the specialty globally and discuss guidelines for its improvement. To this end, it proposes the creation of an Alliance of Spanish Medical Oncology Services: a ‘network of experts’ committed to quality and the patient who work together to achieve excellence in Oncology.

La sociedad médica se enfrenta a nuevos retos sanitarios en un entorno cambiante, con un perfil de paciente oncológico diferente y con nuevas tecnologías y avances en los tratamientos.La Fundación para la Excelencia y la Calidad Oncológica (ECO) nace para dar respuesta a este cambio de tendencia en la Oncología. Ahora, el paciente es el epicentro.
Fundación ECO es la primera organización formada por oncólogos españoles para analizar globalmente la especialidad y debatir pautas para su mejora. Por eso, Fundación ECO significa que los oncólogos se comprometen a trabajar en la mejora de la asistencia oncológica, desde la primera etapa, ya en la docencia, pasando por la investigación hasta llegar a la atención al paciente.

El principal objetivo de Fundación ECO es analizar y promover la calidad de la Oncología española desde todas sus vertientes:

- Investigadora
Para ello, propone la creación de una Alianza de Servicios de Oncología Médica Españoles: una ‘red de expertos’ comprometidos con la calidad y el paciente que trabajen conjuntamente para alcanzar la excelencia en la Oncología.
