About us?
The Spanish Foundation for Road Safety, FESVIAL, is an independent entity, which has been created as a large social work, with the aim of preventing traffic accidents, promoting sustainable mobility, training and road education, and the study of accidents, as well as the investigation of more appropriate strategies for their prevention.
FESVIAL has a board made up of Public Administrations, private companies, Unions and Employers, all of them sensitized and involved in improving road safety, and who contribute to the Fesvial project moving forward.
Our priority objective is to promote measures and develop actions to raise awareness in society that together we can reduce the number of accidents on our roads.

No podemos hablar de siniestro cuando un conductor ha bebido alcohol.
No podemos hablar de siniestro cuando un conductor ha superado los límites de velocidad, no podemos hablar de accidente cuando un conductor habla por el móvil, no podemos hablar de accidente cuando un conductor incumple las normas de seguridad o una señalización está mal puesta.
FESVIAL tiene el firme convencimiento de que el accidente no es fruto del destino, del azar o de la casualidad, no es un hecho fortuito, sino que es prevenible, controlable y evitable.
Nuestros Fines
-La prevención de los accidentes de tráfico: a través de acciones y actividades propias y en colaboración con otras entidades públicas y privadas.
-La investigación de la siniestralidad: mediante el estudio de los factores que intervienen en el accidente.
-La educación y la formación vial: promoviendo programas educativos desde edades tempranas y desarrollando y evaluando acciones formativas específicas en los diferentes grupos de riesgo.
Promoción de una movilidad sostenible: Mediante el desarrollo de planes y acciones de movilidad y calmado del tráfico.
¿Quiénes somos?
La Fundación Española para la Seguridad Vial, FESVIAL, es una entidad independiente, que se ha creado como una gran obra social, con el objeto de prevenir los accidentes de tráfico, promover la movilidad sostenible, la formación y la educación vial, y el estudio de la siniestralidad, así como la investigación de estrategias más adecuadas para su prevención.
FESVIAL cuenta con un patronato compuesto por Administraciones Públicas, Empresas privadas, Sindicatos y Patronales, todos ellos sensibilizados e implicados en la mejora de la seguridad vial, y que contribuyen a que el proyecto Fesvial siga adelante.
Nuestro objetivo prioritario es promover medidas y desarrollar acciones, para concienciar a la sociedad de que entre todos podemos reducir las cifras de accidentes en nuestras carreteras.
